The Luhačovice spa and its surroundings are picturesque in every season.
Pozlovice
The market town of Pozlovice lies about 2 kilometers north of Luhačovice, on the very edge of the White Carpathians Protected Landscape Area. Pozlovice is surrounded by the hills Komonec, Brda, and Větrník. The village is one of the oldest settlements in the Luhačovice Zálesí region. Within its cadastre is the reservoir Luhačovice Dam, also known as Pozlovice Dam. The landscape forms a smooth transition between the flat Slovácko region and the hilly Valašsko region. You can visit the village's main landmark, the Church of St. Martin, which is the center of the Roman Catholic parish of Pozlovice. Beneath the right chapel, you can see the tombstones of the last members of the Serényi family. At the boundary of the Pozlovice and Podhradí cadastres is the ruin of the Starý Světlov castle. In 2001, the village was included in the list of spa towns.
Ludkovice
The village of Ludkovice lies about 9 kilometers from the spa town and consists of two local parts: Ludkovice and Pradliska. North of the village is the Ludkovice Reservoir, which serves as a source of drinking water and also provides flood protection. There are interesting sights to see here as well, such as the Road Bridge, which was supposed to be part of the Baťa highway that was never completed, and the heritage-protected granary of a homestead. Marked hiking trails and a cycle path pass through the village. The entire village is surrounded by hills and forests, where you can find the natural monument Čertův Kámen - a rock formation.
Podhradí
The village lies about 6 kilometers from the town of Luhačovice. It is surrounded by forests and mountains on the border of the White Carpathians Protected Landscape Area. At the top of the Komonec hill, there is a sulfur spring called Sirčena. Only 206 inhabitants live here. The name was derived from the location below the castle. Nearby was the estate of the Starý Světlov castle, of which only a few foundation stones remain today, but it is still the oldest monument in the area. A rare reminder of the Turkish wars is the so-called Turkish Cross, erected by a groom for his bride who was killed by the Turks. In 1952, a Bronze Age burial site was discovered here.
Provodov
The village lies in the middle of the Vizovice Hills, about 8 kilometers from the spa town of Luhačovice. The village belonged to the Světlov estate, and later the new owner became František Serényi. The landscape is picturesque, with many groves, pastures, and fields. On the slope of the Rýsov hill is the natural monument Čertův kámen. The dominant feature of Provodov is the pilgrimage Church of Our Lady of the Snows, located at a place called Malenisko - a well-known Marian pilgrimage site. Other landmarks include the Baroque statue of St. John of Nepomuk. In summer, film festivals are held here at the open-air cinema.
